Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Energy Management Local Agency (ALGE-LPGC) is an autonomous public body under the authority of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council. It was founded in 2007 within the framework of the CIP- Intelligent Energy Europe Programme managed by the European Commission. The main objective of this Programme was to promote initiatives for the improvement of citizen’s life conditions based on a more rational and smart system in the use of energy. ALGE –LPGC is part of the Association of Spanish Agencies for Energy Management -ENERAGEN.
