Estrategia

This SECAP defines the contribution of the municipality of A Illa de Arousa to the reduction of Greenhouse Gases emissions, the increase of the municipality's resilience to the impacts of climate change (CC) and the fight against energy poverty. It will seek to optimize the consumption of fossil fuels as well as energy savings (e.g. buildings rehabilitation) and the transition towards the use of renewable energies and self-consumption. Our objective is to reduce CO2 emissions by 40%, together with a renewable generation oriented to increase our energy self-sufficiency. Adaptation to CC will focus on fire prevention, water supply and mitigation of flood effects due to increased rainfall.
